The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a full-time Network Engineer to join our 2nd shift operations at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. Your Impactful Role:

• Collaborate with a watch team to coordinate responses to network outages, working alongside Voice, Video, IP, Transport, OSP Construction, and local Operations Engineers to ensure swift resolution.
• Maintain daily operations by monitoring, identifying, and resolving performance issues across servers, systems, and applications, ensuring peak performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve network outages while providing prompt event notifications to internal and external stakeholders.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance escalations, taking ownership of customer issues and seeing them through to resolution.
• Work cross-functionally on departmental and special projects that showcase your expertise.

What You'll Bring:

• An active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Network Administration. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
• CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification - must obtain within 90 days from date of hire.
• Proficiency with TACACs+, data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis and remediation.
• Proficient in configuring CISCO devices using: EIGRP, BGP, SNMP, TCP/IP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, ARP, dot1Q, VLANs, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, subnetting, NAT, access control lists, and various other routing and networking protocols.  
• Experience with data packet capture, traffic analysis, and vulnerability analysis & remediation.
• Exceptional customer service skills – demonstrated ability to work with an incredibly wide variety of teams, internal and external customers, internal and external service providers.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the OSI model and how it pertains to various transmission protocols, and multi-protocol routing including VRF, VPN, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VP
