Overview LMI seeks a Senior-Level Logistics Analyst (Deployment Specialist) to support our Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) program office client. This position is located full-time on-site in Summit Point, WV. Some travel in support of client activities required. Responsibilities We are seeking an energetic self-starter who is focused on practical and efficient solutions delivered by a multi-dimensional collaborative team. You will lead a team in support of life cycle management and sustainment activities for our client's portfolio of programs, projects, demonstrations, and other efforts. In addition, you will apply your skills in integrated logistics support (ILS) principles in support of planning, acquiring, and managing the operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. Working on site in Summit Point, WV, representative responsibilities are: * Guide a team of logisticians and asset managers in applying best practices for lifecycle management support and sustainment of surveillance systems. * Review project progress from a sustainment perspective, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon requirements. * Coordinate with government Program Managers and Assistant Program Mangers for Logistics to align and integrate resources to meet mission requirements. * Coordinate with Government Leads to level-set, assign, and integrate allocated LMI resources to accomplish client's priorities. * Work with designated the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to stay abreast of contract changes, issues, and challenges. * Prepare documents in support of COR to facilitate government acceptance of equipment, repairs, services, and other contract deliverables. * Coordinate with stakeholders to support technology demonstration and deployment events. * Support facility management services that include planning hazmat storage/disposal and managing PPE and emergency medical equipment such as eyewash stations and AED units. * Provide surge support to team in cases of increased, new, or emerging requirements. * Input, query, and analyze data from numerous CBP database sources, and prepare reports as requested. * Perform Physical Inspection and Functional Check Out (PIFCO) for new and rework systems prior to deployment. * Perform pre- and post- mission system inspection and testing. * Coordinate with stakeholders to support technology demonstration events. * Provide special events' shipping, set up, and post-event services. * Identify and help to resolve operating and support deficiencies. * Assess operational and sustainment footprints. * Develop strategies to optimize system performance. * Assist with acquisition and implementation of operator and maintenance training program. * Participate in system configuration control boards (CCBs) and support planning and implementation of system engineering changes. * Participate in technical interchange meetings by developing briefing materials, meeting agendas, and minutes and tracking action items to resolution. Qualifications * 7+ years of logistics experience and a bachelor's degree in logistics management, business, or a related discipline; or 10+ years of logistics experience. * Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination. * Experience providing detailed leadership to staff involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks. * Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within a customer organization. * Ability to effectively manage logistics activities. * Ability to be resourceful and take initiative without everyday tasking from client/supervisor. * Ability to effectively solve problems. * Ability to effectively monitor contract technical performance. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment. * Possess technical and business writing skills. * Detail oriented with strong time management and presentation skills. * Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, with emphasis on analytical and presentation functions of each application. * Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection Public Trust Clearance preferred. * DHS or DAWIA logistics certification desired.
