This position is that of Aegis Weapons System Lead for CG-47 and DDG-51 class Aegis ships undergoing Modernization. The primary responsibility of this position is providing technical oversight for Field Engineers, Field Technicians, Test Engineers, IT and logistics personnel supporting waterfront operations associated with the Aegis Modernization Team (AMT). The position is responsible for ensuring that AMT support is properly provided for shipboard installation, testing, and trials (SI&T) of Aegis Combat Systems. Technical oversight is required for coordination with all other AMT Group Leaders and other assigned personnel on site. The position will also support, as needed, new construction SI&T contract, and other Navy, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and United States Coast Guard (USCG) programs that include, but are not limited to Lifecycle support, In-Service Engineering Agent Installation and Test Coordination, Combat Systems Operational Sequence System (CSOSS), Technical Documents, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) with International SI&T, and potential new work. The incumbent provides technical management on the O&M of the Aegis Combat System of CG- 47 and DDG-51 class ships. Incumbent supports the AMT on all O&M technical matters related to test planning, scheduling, maintenance, documentation development, and test conduct during the ship installation phase of ship class test programs and post modernization period. Specific responsibilities include: 1. Aegis Weapons System Lead is responsible for Safety, Security, and Functional and Cross Functional Training of Lockheed Martin and contracted employees funded to provide AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) Test Program execution and Support services in during the Aegis Test Program. These work areas include:
a. Test Operations employees conducting testing
in support of the test program.
b. AWS Technicians (AWS) functional areas of O&M in Computer and Display Systems, SPY-1 Radar Signal Processor and Transmitter, Fire Control System Transmitter, Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Data Links, AEGIS Combat Training System (ACTS)/ Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) systems, Gun Weapon Systems (GWS) (Bath, ME only) and Installation.
c. AWS Logistic support services provided in
support of the SI&T test program.
2. Supports test team by assisting as required in resource planning and analysis of the test execution schedule; assigning/de-conflicting/coordinating requested site personnel in support of established milestone objectives.
3. Supports AMT in providing assistance in the resolution of any cross-availability support resource issues that may impact accomplishment of established test objectives
4.Supports Site Management in de-conflicting and furnishing AWS Technicians upon request to support homeport area fleet technical support requirements (e.g. Tech Assist).
Execution:
1. Manage and lead day to day support on the test program.
2. Provide proactive planning and team
communication on current and future support
requirements.
3. Remain flexible to changing schedules and priorities during the test program and to needed offsite Enterprise Test Team support.
4. Provides solutions to O&M challenges that
impact the test program and other needs of the Enterprise Test Team organization.
5. Work with other Work Center leads and
Shipbuilder representatives, and management to ensure a successful test program.
Qualified candidate must have a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position.US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or commensurate related experience.
Experience in leadership and/or personnel management. Must have a minimum 10 years working experience with the AEGIS Weapons Systems. Core Aegis Weapons Systems experience preferred. Candidate will be required on an infrequent basis to go underway on units and to frequently work on moored pier-side units. Physical ability to navigate steep stairs and ladders as well as work in confined spaces is a requirement. Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time CONUS and OCONUS

High level of proficiency with MS Project; MS Word, Excel
Prior experience as a Systems Test Officer, Electronic Materials Officer or Combat Systems Maintenance Manager

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
