Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Chelmsford, MA is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. As a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, LMMFC offers the vital capabilities needed to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments. Quality Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work Instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. To ensure our customer receives the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers develop, review/approve documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled. What You Will Be Doing Duties include but are not limited to: •Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
•Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.
•Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution, and ensures responsible parties meet commitments.
•Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes the disposition of non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
•Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO 9001 & AS9100 standards.
•Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues.
•Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technical (STEM) discipline from an accredited college or university. US Citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance. Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office
applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Desired Skills:
Technical Degree, preferably in Electrical,
Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering Ability to organize and track multiple activities
and prioritize task based on importance. Ability to review, interpret and apply
specifications to determine compliance with
requirements. Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration. Demonstrated presentation skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Effective communication skills: written, oral,
listening, presentation, and technical writing. Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and
processes. Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric
Dimensioning & Tolerance).
