Longston Place Dental is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team in Puyallup, WA! Longston Place Dental, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients it serves. With the support of a practice manager, a highly trained team on site, and a vast network of experts across the nation, you'll be connected to the resources and support of Heartland Dental while enjoying the feel of a locally connected practice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current dental hygienist license in Washington and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Clinical experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventive care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
  • Clinical skills and experience as required by the office

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)?periodically throughout the year
  • As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
