Full-time 12 Hour Rotating Shift

5 Tower (Cardiac Surgery & Step-Down Unit): is a 32-bed inpatient, private room unit specializing in care for post-op cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, lung transplants, heart transplants, and advanced heart failure (LVADs). This unit is unique in that we also have a 6-bed transitional unit with higher acuity patients that require specialized care. The nurses on this unit will learn several skills, including, but not limited to cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and external pacers.

We seek colleagues with:

  • A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
  • BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
  • Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
  • 1 year of experience (preferred – we do welcome New Grads!)
