Job Overview:

The Department of Radiology of the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans seeks an outstanding physician for an academic diagnostic radiology faculty position with primary interest in Nuclear Medicine at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). Our department is dedicated to excellence in patient care, education and scholarly activity. We provide multi-modality radiology services for University Medical Center - New Orleans, a Level 1 trauma center. Responsibilities will include image interpretation as well as resident and medical student education. International candidates with exceptional training and background or seeking J-1 waiver are encouraged to apply.

Position Highlights:
Special Competence in or Dual Certification in Radiology and Nuclear Radiology would be a plus
Experience and/or special interest in Theranostics is a bonus
Additional proficiency in Emergency Radiology or other subspecialty is of interest
Collegial group practicing in a stimulating and challenging environment
Ample opportunities to engage in clinical research and scholarship
Previous academic experience is not required.
Academic rank will be determined in accordance with School of Medicine and LSU System criteria.

Qualifications:
MD or equivalent
ABR certified or on the pathway to full-board certification before hire date
Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before hire date.
