If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.Our Craftsmanship team is looking for a Senior Engineer to work on fit and finish and colors and final quality check on our new and legacy vehicles before going to production. RoleBenchmark competitor vehicles relevant to projectsSet targets – defining key interfaces for the vehicle and establishing class leading targets for fit and finishDevelop critical sections to both Interior and Exterior interfaces and record in a Build Objectives documentWork with the Design Engineering, Dimensional and manufacturing teams to ensure that the targets are achievable in volume productionEnsure Perceived /Optical quality targets are met via cross functional reviewsUtilize Cubing Reference Models, Master Fixtures and other tools to ensure highest levels of craftsmanship in productionPropose alternative surface, cutline and interface execution to Styling for better craftsmanship resultsEvaluate and support the improvement of sensory aspects of our productsWork closely with suppliers and manage product introductionsQualificationsProven experience in one of more areas of craftsmanship with 5 years of relevant experienceDemonstrated experience as a detail-oriented person for both Exterior & Interior Components and SystemsAutomotive experience preferredEvidence of working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve resultsA proven record of ensuring procedures and quality standards are clearly communicated and actionedThe capability of supporting complex projectsAdvantageousGood logical reasoning and numeracy and literacyOne full program cycle experience from concept to production launch in automotive Exterior and Interior Components and SystemsStrong competency in materials selection, plastic injection molding/DFM, and GD&TA strong desire to create the very best product, working as an integral part of a very capable teamA practical hands-on approach to complement the theoreticalExceptional technical abilities paired with excellent communication skillsEducationBachelor's degree in Science degree in an Engineering disciplineSalary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
