M1 Support Services is looking for a Logistics Manager Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Ensures sufficient manpower, training, technical data, tools and equipment are available to meet PWS requirements. • Develops and continually sustains a culture of compliance, safety above all and professionalism. • Assists the PM/DPM in the use of personnel, equipment, and facilities while maintaining a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to the customers’ needs. • Professionally and effectively interfaces with the Functional Commander, Contracting Office, Government Program Manager, internal and external customers, and higher headquarters. • Ensures that the contract is executed in a safe and efficient manner acceptable to the Government. • Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve operations, streamline processes that reduce cost and/or labor hours and enhance operations. • Delegates the necessary authority to managers, supervisors, leads and mechanics/technicians/specialists for support and production to perform all contract requirements. • Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime. • Responsible for the safety and security of employees and Government facilities, equipment, classified information and material. • Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs. • Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements. • Work experience utilizing the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) with an emphasis on FAR part 45 (Property Management) • Experience in program property Management under FAR 52.245-1 • Experience in establishing and maintaining a Government Approved Property Control System • Experience in Air Force Logistics Support, utilizing Air Force Instructions (AFI)
• Experience with Item Unique Identification (IUID) Tagging and registration • Working knowledge of managing large Government Property Accounts ($100M+) of Aviation Material, tooling, Ground support Equipment, Special Test equipment, and facilities. Manages logistics programs (GFP, Materiel Management and Transportation) • Oversees / provides supply liaison to Back Shop and AMU • Leads expedited resolution of MICAP / low priority requests
• Manages DIFM spares back to LRS for retrograde of reparable carcasses
• Solves supply shortfalls due to low demands or surge in requirements
• Ensures compliance with Bench / Shop Stock / Work Order Residue • Utilizes Equipment Management System to validate authorizations / backorders • Analyzes Materiel Management functions, identify constraints / preventive measures • Sign and account for all GFP • Implement and Maintain a Government Approved Property Control System IAW FAR 52.245-1 and contractually mandated Air Force Instructions • Coordinate Audit and inventory schedules
• Interface with on-site Government Property Administrators on all property matters to include reports, audits, surveys, inventories, audits…etc.
• Recommends changes or additions to this procedure as necessary • Implement and enforce key control procedures • Implements and enforce tool issue controls Qualifications and Experience: • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in or Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration • Must always interact with the customer and M1 employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner. • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) (APICS) or compatible logistics/supply chain certification • 10 years of experience in Air Force core regionalized supply chain functions (Stock Control, MICAP and Equipment Management) to include retail supply processes • Must be completely reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
• Knowledge of Air Force supply and efficiency reporting procedures is mandatory.
• Must speak, read, write, and understand English. • Must be able to work days, nights or weekends, as required. • Must have a working knowledge of computers and basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Must obtain/maintain a secret security clearance; previous or active Top Secret desired.
• Must be a US citizen with current valid US Driver’s license and able to drive long distances. • Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
• Knowledge of the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.
