JobSummary

As a Macys Ready-to-Wear Selling Support colleague yourprimary role is to guide and inspire our customers to make style a source of creative energy in their lives. With a passion for gracious service, an interest in fashion, styling talent, and product knowledge, you will deliver a memorable shopping experiencethrough the art of conversation by always being welcoming, engaging, inquisitive, and creating that human connection that our customers are seeking when shopping in our stores.You will be responsible for actively circulating the sales floor, determining the customers needs, sharing the benefits of our loyalty programs, and supporting the shopping experience from start to finish. You will also deliver operational excellence by leveraging our stores fulfillment system, merchandise standards, including floor and fitting room upkeep.

Whatyouwilldo
  • CustomerService:Make the customerthe numberone priority.Greetand assistcustomers, recommend items, assist customers withlocating product and upsell
    • Leverage apparel productknowledge toincrease salesby educating and assisting the customerin the fitting room.Demonstrate full understanding ofstoreproducts,services,loyalty programs
    • Be proficient in Macys pointofsale systems and company devices to wrap up sales in a warm celebratory fashion
    • Make product recommendations and offer customer options using knowledge of trend and key items to help customersfind what theyneed
    • Achieve goals on a daily/weekly basis
  • Sales Support:Maintain and recovertheselling floor,ensuring all sizes, colors and stylesarerepresented
    • Respond to customer requests for additional merchandise or other assistance, including sharing how to use the Macys App to shop and compare
    • Maintainselling floorpresentationfollowing companymerchandisedirectives
    • Ensure fittingroomsarecustomer-readyby promptly clearingmerchandiseandreturningitto the appropriate areaon the selling floor
    • Maintaincommunicationwith storeleadership team includingCustomerExperience ManagersandStyle Merchandise Managersforsupporton drivingsales

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing/walking around the store or department.
  • Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment.
  • Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, and color vision.
  • Lifting and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.
