1st shift PLC Controls Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a PLC/Controls Technician to join their team. As a PLC/Controls Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Production Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: PLC/Controls Technician

Location: Hayward, CA

Pay Range: $36.00/hr
 

What’s the Job?

• Maximize equipment uptime by quickly resolving causes of electrical and mechanical malfunctions on all equipment.
• Assist the maintenance department in installing new electronic/electrical control equipment and making it operational.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance department as required.
• Maintain updated electrical drawings and schematics on all production and plant equipment. Maintain master backups for all machine programs.
• Provide support for PLCs, robots, and Panel Views to maximize both quality and production.

What’s Needed?

• Technical School Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar (equivalent work experience may be considered).
• 3-5 years of experience as an electronic engineer, electrician, or similar role.
• 1-3 years of experience within the automotive industry.
• Ability to program and interface Siemens and Allen Bradley drives and control systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as they relate to controls.
