Maintenance Technician

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the plant maintenance department supporting operational efficiency and equipment reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and strong technical aptitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: McHenry, IL

Shift: Evenings (40 hours) 2nd shift 2:45pm – 11:15pm - Monday-Thursday

What's the Job?

• Complete maintenance assignments to build, repair, and maintain equipment in optimal condition.
• Troubleshoot mechanical devices in operation, dismantle, examine, and replace defective parts.
• Set up and operate shop machinery such as lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, welder, etc.
• Install, repair, or modify hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed to ensure continuous operation.
• Research and procure supplies, parts, and tools required for work orders, maintaining accurate inventory records.

What's Needed?

• Willingness to train; no prior experience required.
• Manufacturing experience in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance disciplines preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems and industrial operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to equipment maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly and work safely with personal protective equipment.
