Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Storeroom Assistant to join their team. As a Storeroom Assistant, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting inventory management and material handling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Storeroom Assistant
Location: OTTAWA, IL
Pay Range: $17/HR
Shift:Part Time (flexible) 8:00AM - 12:00PM, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Manage material receiving, inventory control, and distribution in a continuous manufacturing environment
- Process requisitions and goods issues using SAP/Hana systems
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and support MRO vending operations
- Receive, stock, and complete goods receipts for materials, including domestic, international, and hazmat shipments
- Assist with shipping, cycle counting, and managing VMI inventory with suppliers
What's Needed?
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts
- Prior experience in inventory or receiving roles is preferred
- Ability to work independently, lift up to 50 lbs, and obtain certifications for pallet jack and DOT hazmat handling
