MIG Welder

Location: Sauk Valley Area
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced MIG Welder to support welding operations, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate MIG welding equipment
  • Adjust welding parameters (voltage, amperage, gas flow, wire feed, travel speed)
  • Operate oxygen/acetylene torch as needed
  • Read and follow blueprints and job travelers
  • Measure components to ensure accuracy
  • Inspect welds and finished parts for quality
  • Support cross-training and assist other production areas
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Quality Responsibilities

  • Follow established quality procedures and documentation
  • Identify and report quality issues or nonconforming conditions

Skills & Experience

  • MIG welding experience with multiple material thicknesses required
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience required
  • Overhead crane/lifting experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Basic computer skills

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or on-the-job welding experience preferred
