Experienced Machinist

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an Experienced Machinist to join their team. As an Experienced Machinist, you will be part of the Rebuild/Production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Experienced Machinist

Location: Lenexa, KS

Pay Range: $25 - $36 Depending on experience level.  Pay determined after testing.

Shift: 6am - 3:30pm  Monday - Friday occ. OT. 

What's the Job?

• Operate machine tools such as saws, lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts.
• Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.
• Calculate where to cut or bore using measuring devices.
• Mark the workpiece to show where cuts should be made.
• Monitor and control feed rate and speed to ensure precision.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of Machinist or Mechanical Assembler experience.
• Experience with CNC Mill, Lathe, with horizontal/vertical experience. 
• Manual machining is a plus. 
• Ability to use and read measuring tape, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Experience performing setups and creating setups on new jobs.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and production processes.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA standards.
