About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in New Bedford. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair (50%)
  Diagnose, repair, and rebuild mechanical assemblies—manual or automated—including electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Preventive Maintenance (20%)
  Perform scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Problem Isolation (20%)
  Identify sources of equipment issues using prints, schematics, and collaboration with operators, engineers, and vendors.
• Fabrication & Support (10%)
  Conduct basic welding, plumbing, and machining tasks as needed.

Additional duties include maintaining accurate work records in a computerized maintenance system and monitoring spare parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Education: Trade school diploma preferred
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in industrial equipment repair
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in mechanical repair techniques
• Knowledge of plumbing and piping
• Universal Refrigeration License required
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Basic knowledge of electronic controls
• Familiarity with safe work practices

Requirements

• Own trade-related tools
• Ability to operate hoisting/lifting devices (cranes, jacks, tractors)
• Competence in troubleshooting power transmission, vacuum, and pneumatic systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to obtain forklift, pallet-jack, and/or man-lift license
