Our client, the hospitality industry, is seeking a Summer Prep Cook for Private Club to join their team. As a Summer Prep Cook, you will be part of the culinary support team supporting the kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have teamwork skills, adaptability, and a strong work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $17.50 per Hour

What's the Job?
- Assist with preparation for buffet style meals for 15-300 guests, including soups, entrees, vegetables, and starches.
- Help prepare breakfast items, including eggs and scratch hollandaise sauce, for buffet and to-order service.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Store food properly to prevent spoilage and ensure safety standards are met.
- Support kitchen staff with various tasks to ensure smooth meal service during busy hours.
What's Needed?
- Some limited experience required, additional training provided on the job.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Availability to work evening shifts and early mornings.
- Willingness to assist with a variety of food preparation tasks.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Seasonal job, summer months. 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, shift times vary. Half hour lunch break for straight shift, if it’s a split they get 15 minutes. 2 days off a week, we try to have those days together unless requested otherwise.
- Starts mid-June with 2 weeks of training at 20 hours per week, then moves to 40 hours per week. Runs through end of August/early September. Possibly through mid-October depending on business.
- Room and board are available for $10/week. The housing is dorm-style so there would be a roommate and a shared bathroom. Not required to live on site but with the lengthy commute and high gas prices we do recommend it!
- Previous experience in food service preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
