Our client, in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking an Automotive Quality Manager that will be responsible for leading all quality functions across prototype development, pre-production, launch, and full production. This role ensures compliance with AITF/IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements while driving continuous improvement, defect prevention, and robust launch readiness. The Quality Manager serves as the primary quality interface with customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams.

Pay Range: Negotiable
Shift – 1st 6:00am to 4:00pm M-F, with some Saturdays
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the AITF/IATF 16949 Quality Management System, including internal audits, management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OEM customer-specific requirements (CSR).
- Manage quality activities from prototype builds through production launch and mass production.
- Support prototype and pilot build quality planning, including inspection plans and build quality reviews.
- Act as the primary customer quality contact, including issue resolution, scorecards, audits, and launches. Coordinate supplier containment, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans.
- 5+ years of automotive quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with AITF/IATF 16949 (formerly TS 16949) standards.
- Proven experience supporting prototypes, production launches, and high-volume production.
