Our client, a leader in Commerical Roofing, is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator to join their team. As a Community Relations Coordinator, you will be part of the Community Engagement Department supporting local community initiatives and stakeholder relations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to fostering positive community relationships, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Community Relations Coordinator

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00/hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 15-25 hours/week (Flexible Hours)

What's the Job?

  • Serve as the primary contact for community organizations, neighborhood groups, and residents, including intake, coordination, and follow-up on concerns.
  • Coordinate community efforts with internal communications, legal, and government affairs teams to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Work closely with management and consultants to develop appropriate responses to community concerns, documenting actions taken and closing the loop with stakeholders.
  • Identify organizations, causes, programs, and events to support through grants, sponsorships, and employee volunteer initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at community events, boards, and committees, fostering positive relationships and engagement.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in community relations, communications, nonprofit engagement, or public affairs.
  • 3-5 years of experience in roles involving issue management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong self-starter with sound judgment in sensitive or high-visibility situations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and prioritize resources based on risk and impact; familiarity with social media and neighborhood associations is preferred.
