R&D Technician

Our client, a leader in innovative glass manufacturing, is seeking a R&D Technician to join their team. As a R&D Technician, you will be part of the Research & Development department supporting the Cardinal Liquid Crystal team. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent teamwork abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: R&D Technician

Location: St Louis Park

Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00/hour

Shift: Monday - Friday; 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Position Type: Permanent

What's the Job?

• Support R&D pilot line operations including setup, changeover, and operation of equipment
• Working with LiSec, a glass grinder and polisher machine, Cerion, a laser machine that will be deleting coating off glass, Bentler, along with a 4jet Laser Machine.
• Ensure the on-time delivery of 1st Generation Product and R&D samples
• Measure and document product quality and test data
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including equipment cleaning and material handling
• Assist in process improvements and suggest modifications to increase efficiency and quality

What's Needed?

• HS/GED Completion
• Experience in a laboratory or fabrication setting is a plus but not required
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft reports
• Ability to learn operating practices for new pilot equipment and understand measuring instruments
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Commitment to safety and maintaining an organized workspace
