Shift Manager – 12-Hour Night Shifts
Location: On-Site at Procter & Gamble Facility

Pay Rate: $21.21/hr


About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Shift Manager to lead and support a 12-hour shift team within a large-scale manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production support activities across multiple plant areas, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining strong employee relations, and acting as the primary contact for our partner. The Shift Manager reports directly to the Manpower On-Site Manager and is empowered to act on behalf of leadership in their absence. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and consistent presence on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and support all shift personnel to ensure operational goals and customer expectations are met.
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with employees, customers, and Manpower leadership.
  • Provide fair, positive, and professional guidance to team members and set a strong leadership example.
  • Respond immediately to requests from the our client.
Shift Coordination
  • Arrive on time and ensure smooth shift handoff between outgoing and incoming managers.
  • Review communications, staffing levels, and operational impacts at the start of each shift.
  • Monitor attendance, process occurrences, and coordinate staffing adjustments when needed.
  • Partner with Staffing Coordinators, Business Managers, and Team Leaders to resolve shortages, call-ins, or overstaffing situations.
  • Communicate shift status, attendance updates, and operational needs to Mini-Lab and Family Care leads.
Operational Oversight
  • Actively monitor production support activities across multiple plant areas, including:
  • Verify correct staffing, PPE compliance, equipment conditions, GMP standards, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures for equipment cleaning, bale preparation, glue processes, and safety checks.
  • Respond to line stoppages or quality concerns following established protocols.
Training & Compliance
  • Ensure employees are trained and JSA-certified before working independently.
  • Maintain and update training databases; conduct monthly training audits.
  • Support training on respirator fit testing and procedural compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to all GMP, safety, and plant policies.
Qualifications
  • Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, production, logistics, or a similar high-volume environment preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • Comfortable working on the production floor and interacting with multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage staffing, reporting, and safety programs.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and high-performance standards.
