Our client, an industry leader in safety and industrial hygiene, is seeking a Safety & Health Coordinator to join their team. As a Safety & Health Coordinator, you will be part of the safety department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, impact through influence, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Safety & Health Coordinator
Location: Oxford, NC
Pay Range: $25-$35
Shift: Monday - Friday
What's the Job?
- Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive safety management systems
- Coordinate industrial hygiene activities and document tracking records
- Support safety programs, training, and management systems improvements
- Help coordinate ergonomics programs including risk identification and countermeasures
- Assist plant engineering project managers with contractor requirements and safety compliance
What's Needed?
- Possess a basic understanding of federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Possess some knowledge of chemistry and toxicology fundamentals
- Typically requires a BS/MS in Safety Management or a related field
- 0+ years of safety and health experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly
