Chemical Operator

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and industrial sector, is seeking a Chemical Operator to join their team. As a Chemical Operator, you will be part of the production support team, contributing to efficient asphalt production processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Chemical Operator

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $20/hourly 

Shift: Day and Night shifts available (3:00 am to 3:00 pm, transitioning to 3:00 pm to 3:00 am)

What's the Job?

• Assist operators in asphalt production processes, ensuring smooth operations
• Operate truck loading/unloading and boiler incinerator equipment
• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, BOL processing, and production tracking
• Obtain necessary certifications including Boiler Operator License and forklift certification
• Participate in safety, environmental, and TPM initiatives to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in chemical industry or power plant operations required
• Good mechanical skills and basic computer literacy (training provided)
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and process improvement
