Mechanic Assistant

Our client, the industrial sector, is seeking a Mechanic Assistant to join their team.  As a Mechanic Assistant, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting heavy equipment and diesel mechanics. The ideal candidate will have reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanic Assistant

Location: Middletown, NY

Pay Range: $23.00-$24.00/hr

Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday (hours may vary), with Saturdays as needed
 

What's the Job?

• Assist senior mechanics with vehicle and equipment repairs
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake pad replacements, tire changes, and tune-ups
• Support general truck and equipment maintenance tasks
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

What's Needed?

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an automotive or diesel repair program preferred, but not required
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Basic understanding of gasoline and diesel engines
