Our client, a global leader in industrial and consumer goods, is seeking a EHS Manager to join their team. As a EHS Manager, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Cleveland facility's leadership team. The ideal candidate will have strong consultative leadership, proactive problem-solving skills, and exceptional communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: SHE Manager (Safety, Health, and Environmental)

Location: Cleveland, OH (Local candidates preferred)

Pay Range: [Insert Pay Range, e.g., $110,000 - $135,000] + Short-Term Incentives

What’s the Job?

  • Lead the implementation and management of site-wide SHE programs, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA, SARA, CWA, and ISO standards.
  • Develop and recommend engineering controls and work process modifications to proactively prevent worker illness or occupational injury.
  • Supervise the segregation, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes while developing waste-minimization procedures.
  • Act as the primary SHE expert for workspace planning, equipment purchases, and the design of new facility hazardous processes.
  • Manage emergency contingency plans and coordinate safety drills in conjunction with local regulatory agencies and site management.

What’s Needed?

  • Extensive experience managing SHE compliance within a manufacturing or industrial environment (ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001 standards).
  • Proven ability to recognize injury/illness trends and implement corrective interdisciplinary safety strategies.
  • Expertise in Industrial Hygiene (IH) sampling strategies and the interpretation of technical safety results.
  • Strong leadership background with the ability to manage professional staff and oversee site-wide safety training delivery.
  • Must be local to the Cleveland area (no relocation assistance provided).
