Part-Time Brand Ambassador – Local Media Organization

Overview

We are seeking outgoing, community-driven Brand Ambassadors to represent a portfolio of trusted local news brands at events across the region.

This is a high-energy, public-facing role ideal for individuals who enjoy connecting with people and believe in the importance of local journalism. As a Brand Ambassador, you will serve as the face of our organization and play a key role in growing audience engagement and subscriptions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent our media brands at local events, festivals, and community gatherings
  • Engage attendees in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner
  • Promote and sell digital and print subscriptions
  • Encourage sign-ups for free newsletters and digital products
  • Answer questions about our content, products, and services
  • Set up, manage, and break down event booths (includes light lifting)
  • Capture insights and feedback from event participants to inform future outreach efforts

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for local news and community engagement
  • Comfortable using tablets and basic digital tools
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and professional
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (event equipment/materials)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Availability to work weekends and event-based schedules
