Help keep our city clean, safe, and running smoothly. We’re looking for a hands-on, self-motivated professional who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with the public, and making a real impact in the community.

What you’ll do:

• Inspect residential and commercial waste, recycling, and yard waste to ensure compliance with city guidelines

• Educate customers on services, schedules, and proper waste practices

• Investigate service issues, complaints, and container setups

• Conduct route audits and issue warnings or citations when needed

• Work closely with haulers and respond to service requests

• Keep accurate daily records and reports using basic computer systems

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of experience in a public-facing role 

• Strong communication skills—you can explain rules clearly and handle tough conversations calmly

• Self-starter who works well independently and stays organized in the field

• Comfortable using basic computer systems and mobile tools

• Able to read maps, navigate routes, and drive a pickup truck

• Reliable, punctual, and accountable 

Physical requirements:
Active, field-based work including walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and working outdoors in various conditions

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license
