Power Coat Technician

Powder Coat Technician – $19 - $23/hr. 

Our client in the Washington, PA area is looking for hardworking, motivated Powder Coat Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing high-quality metal parts.  Key Responsibility: Surface Preparation: Clean, sandblast, degrease, and mask metal parts to ensure optimal powder adhesion. What will you be doing?

• Operate electrostatic spray guns to apply powder coatings evenly and consistently to various parts.
• Set up, monitor, and maintain spray booths, powder hoppers, and curing ovens.
• Inspect finished parts for correct color, thickness, texture, and defects (e.g., orange peel, adhesion issues).
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, change paint colors, and maintain proper coating viscosity.
• Adhere to all safety protocols (PPE, ventilation) and maintain a clean 5S workspace.

What do you bring?

• Positive, can-do attitude
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting.
• Strong understanding of powder coating techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications or work orders.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in a metal fabrication or fast-paced manufacturing setting.
