Shipping Supervisor

Shipping Supervisor – Direct Hire in York - $75-$80K
Exciting opportunity with a well known manufacturer as a Shipping Supervisor! Manpower is assisting our client in hiring a Shipping Supervisor who will ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the shipping department. The ideal candidate should have experience with international shipping and SAP.
Additional Responsibilities  Include:

• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
• Direct movement of materials from shipping area to staging area.
• Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet deadlines.
• Develop work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Arrange transportation according to customer instruction and standard.
• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with best practices specifications.
• Ensure the Shipping area is organized and clean at all times and meets all compliance requirements.
• Conduct training, development, and performance-monitoring activities of each employee in department.
