Sr. Accountant

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be part of the Accounting Department supporting the Finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Accountant

Location: Smithfield, RI

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr.

Shift: Day Shift, Temporary to Hire

What's the Job?

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage and train accounting team members to foster a collaborative work environment
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in accounting operations
• Manage balance sheet risk and perform impairment testing
• Support the monthly close process, including directives, controls, and process documentation

What's Needed?

• Deep knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP, IFRS)
• Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Cognos reporting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience; CPA preferred
