Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Lab Tech - Chemistry
- Shift: 4/10’s - 7:00AM - 5:00PM M-TH with possible overtime
- Pay rate $18 to $21 per hour DOE
- Start Date: ASAP!
General Description:
The Laboratory Technician position is an entry-level role in the chemistry laboratory. The role involves performing basic technical tasks related to quality assurance, including sampling, testing, evaluation, data analysis, and equipment operation. This position is crucial in providing accurate and responsive quality information to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
General Appraisal:
- Conduct sampling, testing, and evaluation of materials and products. Record and disposition findings according to established protocols
- Analyze data, participate in process studies, and collaborate with teams to enhance quality control measures
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy in testing procedures
Working Conditions and Criteria:
- Works under close supervision following established methods
- Generates and reviews facts, determining appropriate action within prescribed limits
- Routine contact within the organization, requiring tact
- Errors may adversely affect internal operations or outside relationships
- Works in a laboratory and/or manufacturing environment
Qualifications:
- General academic education plus completion of two (2) years of college-level related science courses or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory procedures is advantageous
