What You’ll Do

  • Triage patients using established criteria and prioritize care appropriately
  • Assess patient conditions and initiate emergency interventions
  • Assist physicians with treatments and procedures
  • Utilize specialized monitoring and therapeutic equipment
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient assessments
  • Educate patients and families on preventive health and complication prevention
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and confidentiality
  • Maintain a controlled, safe environment during emergency situations
  • Supervise and support other ED personnel
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to infection control standards, HIPAA guidelines, and compliance objectives
  • Communicate concerns or unusual events promptly to leadership
  • Demonstrate scheduling flexibility, including availability to work additional shifts when needed
What We’re Looking For
  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emergency nursing and triage protocols
  • At least 12 months of nursing experience preferred (ED or CCU experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and emotionally stable in high-stress situations
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
