Job Overview: Operations Manager

Assist in providing leadership, training, financial stability, revenue management, and property oversight. Assisting with overall hotel operations, relationship management, Marriott brand standards, and guest experience. Provides property leadership as directed by the General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Returns:

  • Assist General Manager with the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel. Provide regular direction and manage hotel operations for all departments.
  • Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability, and maximum ROI. Use distribution channels and technology platforms to drive revenue and maximize market share.
  • Attend weekly RMCC call.
  • Analyze market for appropriate room rates, labor and wages, growth, threats, etc.
  • Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty.
     

Sales:

  • Works with General Manager and Regional Sales Manager to maintain and follow up with sales leads.
  • Maintains working relationships with MEPS and other current LNR contracts to ensure obligations of both sides are being met.
  • Ensures all group contracts are entered into Fosse correctly and is the onsite point of contact during stay.
  • Works with in-house team to get sales leads.
     

People:

  • Help in establishing performance and benchmark goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to enhance performance.
  • Educate, train, and motivate hotel team to achieve hotel revenue goals. Ensure your team has the information, market data, tools, and equipment to successfully carry out job duty.
  • Responsible to know, understand, and fulfill the InnTrusted Mission Statement.
  • Create guest satisfaction by providing fast, friendly and genuine hospitality.
  • Assist the General Manager in the development and communication of department strategies and goals. Communicate and enforce InnTrusted policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all emergency situations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Inspect rooms weekly and assist in maintaining preventive maintenance program.
  • Ensure all team members are utilizing Quore and providing training where necessary.
     

Guest Loyalty:

  • Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Review guest feedback and implement strategies for continued improvement.
  • Make time to interact with guests, solicit feedback, and build relationships. Communicate to appropriate departments all important information regarding VIPs, special needs, large groups or other key guest information.
  • Lead marketing efforts to upsell guests on hotel services, offerings, and amenities.
     

Responsible Business:

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and hotel associates.
  • Comply with state, federal, and local laws regarding health, safety, and alcohol services.
  • Develop and carry out action plans to be environmentally conscious.
  • Perform duties as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking and standing required throughout the entire shift.
  • Reaching, bending, carrying, stooping throughout the entire shift.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Drive a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to safely use them.
  • Report safety hazards, accidents, and injuries immediately.
