The Controller is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. These reports provide essential insights into the financial health and performance of the organization. This position offers growth in the future as our organization continues to expand. The location for this position is flexible based on the qualifications of the identified candidate. There will be travel to company office locations to build and maintain partnerships with operational leaders and direct reports. Travel will be in the Southeastern United States. Benefit from an environment that's creative, groundbreaking, and, above all, supportive.The Clean Energy & Infrastructure Group is comprised of the business sectors and companies: Industrial - Casey Industrial, MasTec Industrial, Phoenix Industrial; Infrastructure: American Civil Constructors West Coast, Cash Construction, FNF Construction, Lemartec Corporation, MasTec Civil, Precision Aggregate Products, Ragnar Benson Construction, Saiia, William Charles Construction, William Charles Electric; Renewables: Bianchi Electric, IEA Constructors, Wanzek Construction, White Construction.ResponsibilitiesKey FunctionsParticipate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.Communicates financial metrics to senior management.Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.Develops and manages financial controls over accounting transactions in accordance with Saiia’s policies and procedures in order to minimize risk.Compile and analyze financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group and provide individuals with professional and personal growth.Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that enhances the company’s cash position and includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.Assists IEA with filing quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.Supervisor ResponsibilitiesPlans, organizes, and manages Accounting department workflow to ensure the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational expectations and requirements.Responsible for personal and professional development to stay ahead of the competition in our industry.Communicates and acts with a team-oriented mentality.Ensure positive morale and engagement of employees.Communicates and adheres to Company values and vision.Assist in recruitment, performance management, promotions, retention, and termination activities.Provide guidance to team members and monitors their performance, discipline, and attendance.QualificationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting, in Construction and multiple worksite environment needed.Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a department or division for an organization.Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver’s License with driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines.CPA certification is desirable but not required.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesThorough understanding of corporate and industry financial practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on Company activities.Proficiency with all necessary technological tools, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint , and Outlook with the ability to use other software, as necessary.Experience with ERP systems.
