We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team at Ft. Liberty, NC. The successful candidate will provide customized IT solutions and technical advice for USSOCOM. Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have an active Top Secret Clearance Responsibilities: * Member of a small team of experienced professionals that develop customized capabilities and provides advice on complex technical subjects to the government. * Collaborates with other engineers and architects to build, implement, and maintain secure mission-critical technical solutions including switches, firewalls, servers, clients, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), security information and event management (SIEM), encryption, authentication protocols, virtual and cloud infrastructure, automation, etc... * Maintains familiarity with standards (NIST, ISO 27000, DoD STIGs, Local Policies, etc...) * Proactively remains aware of cyber security threats, trends, and technologies. * Prepares technical documentation, reports, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Installs, configures, updates, and maintains servers, clients, network devices, software, etc... * Ensures completion of automated functions and backs up appropriate clients, servers, and data. * Performs security assessments and audits to resolve vulnerabilities, detect anomalies/breaches, and ensure policy and standard compliance. * Provides support and troubleshoots technical issues. * Strives to enhance the organization's security posture. Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Information Technology * Minimum of 2 years of experience configuring, securing, & maintaining servers and clients of various operating systems in an active production environment * Minimum of 1 year of experience in design, architecture, administration, engineering, and integration of IT systems * CompTIA Security+ CE Certification Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or similar * Experience with configuring, securing, and maintaining network devices (firewalls, routers, switches) * Experience with Virtualization or Cloud infrastructure * Experience in IT automation, scripting, and/or programming * At least one of the following certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA CASP+, CompTIA Linux+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Linux Professional Institute Cert (LPIC-1), Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Assure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Security Engineer Associate About Mayvin: Mayvin offers our employees an innovative culture, excellent benefits and amenities, an inclusive work environment, ongoing career development, and recognition and rewards to honor hard work.
