For additional information, please visit http://www.mcclancy.com/.Position Summary: This position is responsible for the basic reverse engineering of food systems for appearances, flavors, and textures while maintaining good manufacturing practices.Description of Duties:Accurately weigh raw materials for all development work for products and food systems.Perform basic cooking techniques such as baking, deep-frying, sauting, etc.Run basic analysis on products being evaluated, such as salts, moistures, pH, and granulations as needed.Develop, modify, and / or reverse engineer food products as assignedMaintain a clear and concise notebook as well as formula and other paperwork related to each project.Use existing ingredients whenever possible.Review all projects with the manager for clarification before starting any formulation work.Prepare ingredient declarations.Perform other tasks as necessary to ensure that projects are completed on time.Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.Enter formulations into the system.Responsible for monitoring food safety.All other duties as assigned including

and customer visits.Essential Skills and Experience:4 Year Science Related degree required.Computer Skills, math, and writing skills required.3 to 5 years of product development and reverse engineering experience required.Ability to multi-task on any type of project.Proficiency with basic PC required, including Excel and Microsoft.Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
