The incumbent will work with the R&D team, QA Team, and cross-functional teams such as production and outside vendor resources to deliver regulatory information consistent with the business strategies and goals.Reporting to Position: Director of QA/TSDescription of Duties:Assist in the development of new product specifications.Assist in the development of ingredient specifications as well as maintaining the ingredient and finished product specification database.Responsible for entering and preparing the nutritional analysis using Genesis software.Update Genesis Software with new raw materials and current updated information.Assist in completing technical documentation including Specification, Allergen, 100g Nutrition, Safety Data Sheet, Percent Range Formula, to name a few as required by the customer.Ensure the ingredient statements contain correct breakdowns.Update specific customer specification sheets.Manage TraceGains Document Management System for McClancy s Supplier Specifications for our Raw Materials and Customer Specifications for our finished products.Manage other databases such as Food Logiq, Repositrak, Document Compliance, Share-ify, etc., to provide technical documents for our customers finished products.Assist with Safe Quality Foods (SQF) sections of the code for 2.2 Document Controls and Records and 2.3 Specifications, Formulations, and Supplier Approval.All other duties as assigned.Essential Skills and Experience:At least a two-year college degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology.Genesis Software.Working knowledge of various document Management Systems.Background knowledge of food science is a plus.Computer Skills and MS Applications required.Good math skills.Attention to detail.Excellent communication skills both written and oral.Ability to manage multiple priorities, functions, and tasks.Required to meet multiple priorities and project due dates.Meet Customer s deadlines.Strong organizational skills.Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
