Description:McIntosh Box & Pallet is hiring a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team in Bernhards Bay, NY! We are looking for a proactive team player with great technical skills and a positive attitude to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be a key player in helping to ensure machines are operating correctly and efficiently to help continue to build and grow a premium pallet manufacturing company. The goal to complete maintenance activities to ensure that employee health and safety, product safety and the protection of the environment are never compromised and that all maintenance activities enhance product quality, plant performance and business priorities. Shift Time: 6am to 2:30PMSalary: $18 and up per hour depending on experience A Maintenance Technician be responsible for performing and managing plant maintenance programs under the direction of the Plant Manager. You must adhere to all health and safety policies and directives. Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities: Responsible for hands on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all plant pneumatics, hydraulics, and electricOperate a Tow MotorDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures in all plant manufacturing equipment.Responsible for hands on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all process hand tools, such as pneumatic or electric reciprocating saws and nail gunsPerforms minor unscheduled maintenance and repair on trucking equipment such as forklifts and yard shuttle trucksResponsible for accurate and timely documentation of performance and processes as requiredSchedule, execute and properly document work ordersProvide coaching on use and repair of industrial production equipmentAbility to perform basic carpentry tasks for improvement projects around the plantSimple masonry skills for small projects around the plant (not a must but beneficial)Miscellaneous tasks such as, simple electrical/plumbing as needed (moving outlets, installing fixtures, etc.) painting, building repairs, landscape, etc.Requirements:Mechanically inclined - Knowledge of and demonstrable ability to use common mechanics tools30 hour OSHA course preferredWelding knowledge preferredAbility to troubleshoot and repair industrial pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systemsUnderstanding of industrial air compressors and peripheral components3-5 years of experience in industrial machine maintenanceDemonstrated success handling multiple high priority projectsKnowledge of OSHA and Control of Hazardous Energy procedures and regulationsAbility to use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 8+ hours and lift 75 poundsAbility to use and navigate MS office and internet applicationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh school diploma or GED requiredBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceCompensation details: 18-20 Hourly WagePI1209bb4a2366-25660-33710831
