Current Need
It's an exciting time to grow with McKesson, as our Medical-Surgical Primary Care Team is seeking Inside Sales Representatives to join our teams in Richmond, VA, and begin training on Monday January 6th.
On Site Team Training:
Training is conducted onsite for a total of 6 months at our Richmond, VA office.
Training consists of 2 weeks of systems training, followed by an additional 5 to 6 months of shadowing and participating in calls. During these 6 months, you begin using what you've learned in a supportive and supervised setting, as you work closely with your assigned mentor and other senior members of the Primary Care Inside Sales Team.
For this training class, our in-office training window will begin Monday January 6th and extend through June. McKesson observes all major holidays. All employees will be off work on holidays that fall within this time.
Hybrid Work From Home: As new team members complete their onsite training; each person is evaluated prior to moving their workspace home. Once a team member is working from home, they will have certain days each week to report into the office to work with the team, attend a meeting and/or participate in additional specialized training when needed.

Position Description
The Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for the sale of McKesson's products in a specified region or major geographical area/market. In this role you will grow an assigned account territory above base sales activity in order to maximize revenue from each assigned account and will also reactivate assigned accounts and eventually prospect new business for the company.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve territory sales and gross profit plans. Develops and increases sales revenue and GP$ to meet assigned targets; closing the sale and uncovering new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Builds and maintains strong customer relationships, gaining new customers and retaining existing customers. Position requires a minimum of 3+ hours and cold calls daily, on the telephone conducting customer sales presentations. (Referral to customer service or online web ordering is also highly recommended to maximize communication time with the customer base.)
Territory and sales management - Develops account strategies, territory planning and administrative follow-up to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
Interface with the marketing team to create and implement specific programs and customized marketing materials for each account as needed. Participate in and support company-wide marketing and sales initiatives by providing industry market and product trends, sales data, competitor analyses, sales materials and account/customer feedback to the respective market manager. Achieve initiative targets.
Enhance selling skills through structured education, in-services, and development initiatives, including self-study.
Minimum Requirements
2+ years of relevant experience
Critical Skills
2+ years business experience in an Inside Sales setting with focus on growing assigned territory
1+ years' experience prospecting to drive in new business
1+ years' experience cold calling
2+ years' experience managing and maintaining existing account activity
Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Successful in driving your own success with a passion for sales
Proven demonstrated ability to present ideas, influence decision over the phone, gain acceptance and build strong relationships
Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Healthcare knowledge strongly preferred
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management system (SFDC, Goldmine, ACT, etc.), a plus
Demonstrated Microsoft Office proficiency with business applications - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Previous experience including cold calling, negotiation and closing skills a plus
Previous experience in healthcare industry, specifically, primary care, podiatry, orthopedic or EMS a plus
Physical Requirements
Large percent of time performing computer based working an office environment
Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
