Job Summary and Qualifications


Technologist performs radiological exams including surgery and computer-based assisted assigned under the direction of a Radiologist and in accordance with all rules and regulations. Performs optimal approved technologies, patient care and adherence to accepted medical care guidelines including Federal, State and hospital..

Maintains daily schedule of patient exams for the area, assignments, and equipment warm-up protocol.

Practices all safety guidelines including all Federal and State regulations.

Initiates quality control standards through film/exam critique, equipment comparisons, monitoring of procedures and patient care standards.

During peak hours, is available and visible to the area.  



?  



Rotates duties with other staff members; reports to the department within policy requirements.  



?  



Participates in efforts to implement and improve departmental patient care standards.  



?  



Capable of assessing patients for signs or symptoms of abuse or neglect.  



?  



Demonstrates competency in basic imaging protocols and techniques and demonstrates competency in preparation and operation of all imaging equipment.

Performs/maintains all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Promptly reports problems relating to patients, staffing, equipment, or work methods.
