The Cytotechnologist discriminates between the abnormal and normal cells through an in-depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of cells, tissues and organ systems to interpret cell morphology and render diagnostic decisions.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Position Details:

Education: B.S. degree and graduation from an accredited school of cytotechnology. Licensure: ASCP certified or eligible. Experience: None. Certification/Registration: None. Other skills & knowledge (skills, knowledge, abilities): Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 25 lbs., pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: Standard cytology equipment and instrumentation. Preferred Experience: One year experience preferred.
