Mercy OKC's Student Float Pool

 

 

Join Mercy while you are in nursing school!

 

OKC's Float Pool has two different roles, as a PCA prior to completing Fundamentals of Nursing course and then as a Nurse Tech upon completion of Fundamentals of Nursing

 

You will have the opportunity to gain bedside experience

prior to graduation in the float pool at Mercy Oklahoma City. 

 

No experience required, we will train you!

 

Flexible schedule - minimum of 24 hours a month required.

Self-scheduling, shorter shifts offered and much more!

 

Due to the length of required orientation, it is recommended that students start during summer or winter break. 

 

Currently interviewing and offering December 9th and 23rd start dates

  

Qualifications: 

 

  • Education:? High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT certification, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current?Co-worker?of Mercy.?? 
  • Must be enrolled in nursing school.
  • Experience: None required? 
  • Certifications:?BLS Required within one month of hire,?completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire? 
  • Other:?Minimum Physical Requirements? 
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis? 
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift? 
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties? 
  • Preferred Certifications:?Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).??
