Scope of Position:
Works under the direction of the Chief Engineer in the creation of descriptive drawings for product development, application, and manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Creates accurate 3-D models from sketches or verbal instruction
- Proficient with 3-D modeling at the end of first 120 days of employment
- 100% drawing accuracy
- Must be able to perform at generally accepted drawing time standards.
- Creates 2-D descriptive drawings to design department and industry standards
- Proficient with 3-D modeling at the end of first 120 days of employment
- 100% drawing accuracy
- Must be able to perform at generally accepted drawing time standards.
- Gain general working knowledge of all relative products offered within the division.
- Basic product training through engineering manuals within first 60 days of employment.
- Understanding of manufacturing capabilities and sheet metal tolerances and manufacturing limitations
- General understanding of manufacturing techniques and equipment within the first 120 days. Proficient at 1 year
- Processes engineering change requests and engineering change notices
- Excellent understanding of E.C.R. procedures within 90 days of employment.
- Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
Position Requirements:
The Designer I must possess the minimum knowledge listed below:
- One year minimum of CAD Certificate or technical trade school with a focus on CAD
- Minimum one year design experience
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite
- Formal training in a 3-D modeling software, AutoDesk preferred
- HVAC experience a plus
- Must be creative, flexible and innovative team player
