Recreation Therapist

Our Recreation Therapists are key in assisting with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of our small and large group wellness programs to best meet resident’s individual interest and needs.     The primary duties of this position include: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wellness programming for Custom Care (assisted living), including calendar planning and coordinating non-recreation staff led programming. All should be done according to residents’ needs, interests, and desires, including developing new ideas and assisting with the purchase of supplies. Lead programming in all areas of care, with particular focus on Custom Care and The Woodlands (nursing facility), splitting schedule approximately half time between each area.   This is a full-time position.   Requirements: Candidates should be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists or be eligible and willing to get their certification, or have their B.A. or B.S. degree in a related field with 2 years of experience working with geriatrics.   Come see for yourself how our philosophy of care makes life better for the people who live here and for those who work here.
