Position Summary Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE accessories and components. Provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flight operations. Determines methods and sequence of troubleshooting, repair operations, and modifications to equipment by working from manufacturers manuals, drawings, and specifications, installation layouts and sketches, and verbal or written instructions. Replace worn or broken parts, adjust and alignments as required clean areas, and prepare equipment for full service. Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on company-owned equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures on aircraft ground support equipment.
Must be safety-oriented with a proven record of working and leading others while adhering to defined safety guidelines and processes.
Be able to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment and components.
Will utilize hand tools, diagnostic equipment and use cutting devices, etc. in the performance of duties.
Be able to conduct system diagnostics, Electrical diagnostics, Hydraulic diagnostics, and maintenance.
Provides technical assistance and guidance to Team Members to ensure equipment is maintained safely and to company standards.
Will occasionally be required to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, snorkel/boom lifts, pallet jacks, and small conveyance vehicles.
Will be required to wear applicable personal protective equipment, and follow rules and regulations related to a detailed lockout/tag-out program.
Follow all safety directives, maintenance procedures, and FAA regulations. Remain current on all required training and certifications. The ability to effectively prioritize workflow to best service our customers.
This position requires excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Accurately record aircraft maintenance in the automated maintenance records system.
Flight-line driving.

Extensive experience in hydraulics, and electrical controls.
Excellent problem-solving skills, being able to determine causes of errors and deciding on the course of action to solve.

Excellent communication skills, the ability to read and understand the information presented in writing, diagrams, and schematics. Supervisory Responsibility This role has supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates within flight line maintenance parameters. This role routinely carried outdoors and uses standard equipment such as electronic and pneumatic test equipment, electronic diagnostic equipment, hand tools, aircraft electrical ground power units, integrated maintenance information systems, hydraulic and pneumatic jacks, metal cutters, power drills, rivet tools, portable computing devices, and protective headsets/ear plugs. This is a largely physical role. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time/Part-Time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change by department and business needs. Full-time employees must receive approval from their manager to work over 40 hours. Part-time employees must receive approval from their Manager to work past 29 hours. There is significant weekend and travel required to successfully carry out assigned maintenance tasks and air operations. Facility Location: Metrea Strategic Mobility 17301 Heacock Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92551 Travel Travel requirements are: Up to 30% away from home. Required Education, Experience, and Certificates:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 5+ years working dealing with Aircraft Ground Support Equipment including experience in hydraulics, electrical and mechanical equipment. Must be experienced with mechanical/diagnostic tools. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (specifically Word and Excel) Certificates and Licenses: GSE Training Certification. Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance. Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
