*Job Duties:*
* Prepare or receive appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
* Ensure all product on the truck matches the packing list.
* Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations and turn in log books when complete
* Maintain telephone contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
* Work in Shipping/Receiving, loading and unloading product, or in others production areas when not driving a truck.
* Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water and report any issues upon inspection.
* Responsible for vehicle upkeep and presentation (cleanliness).
* Ensure all loads are secure, straps are tight and straps are in good condition and tarped before transporting.
* Be flexible with work schedule which may change based on business needs.
*Minimum Requirements:*
* Must be at least 25 years or older.
* Must Have a class A CDL driver’s license
* Medical Card required. Must pass DOT drug test and physical.
* Must be able to keep Electronic Log
* Daily pre and post trip inspections
* Proper securement of material to trailer in compliance with DOT and company policy
* Maintain proper delivery documentation.
* Drive cameras, incident activated.
* Must be able to operate a Flatbed trailer including strapping and tarping loads.
* Comfortable delivering material off the side of the highway, sometimes with no physical address.
* No more than three moving violations in the past three years (some restrictions apply)
* No more than one DOT recordable preventable accident in the last three years
* Forklift license (preferred) to work in the yard when not driving.
* Additional qualifications will apply.
* With the Department of Transportation's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse in effect, all applicants must create a profile at fmcsa.dot.gov before being hired.
* 9 months of tractor/trailer experience required.
* Drivers on this account will be home almost daily.
* Monday through Friday schedule with most weekends off
* Get processed for this position quickly and get in front of local management.
