Lead Diesel Mechanic Technician Duties:
This position performs major and technically difficult diagnostics repairs and overhauls/rebuilds in a timely manner; ensuring quality time standards customer expectations cost guidelines and reliability goals are met
Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and will mentor other technicians on a regular basis.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
Diagnose document and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
Repair / Replace brakes steering components suspension and perform alignments
Replace clutches & transmissions
Mobile Technician Duties:
Will start and finish each day in our Braintree shop and will support Miller Truck Leasing customers within a 50-60 mile radius of Braintree with use of company truck.
Perform Vehicle Condition Reports (DVCR's) on all trucks and perform required work at customer locations throughout the Braintree area
Requirements
5+ years experience working as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
A valid CDL (Class A or B) or the ability to acquire a Commercial Driver License with the assistance of our trainer
Hand tools
Ability to work:
Lead Tech - 1st shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Mobile Tech - 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm
