Job Summary: We are seeking an AV Lead to provide concentrated support for the various AV systems such as Creston. Responsibilities: • Operate, maintain, and monitor A/V facilities and all equipment and control functions within them.
• Perform continuous monitoring and weekly inspections of all AV support equipment to ensure that equipment is functional and assist customers with operational aspects of audio and visual components. Results of inspections shall be maintained within the A/V Readiness Dashboard reporting mechanism. • Recommend A/V solutions and lifecycle refreshes that enable cost reductions, cybersecurity enhancements, improved performance, and increased use of standard configurations.
• Verify equipment functionality prior to critical events (i.e., NDU-P, Senior Official-led events).
• Maintain enterprise Video Bridging and Master/Multi-Point Control Unit (MCU) equipment for A/V services hosted at two Enterprise locations (Fort McNair, JFSC-Norfolk).
• Respond to classroom and auditorium issues IAW the Performance Standards described in Section 4.
• Maintain vulnerability and STIG compliance of classroom technology (indicated above) IAW DOD requirements and NDU policy.
• Operate, maintain, and ensure reliability of broadcast solution.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and configuration issues and provide touch labor support for enterprise AV systems across the NDU Enterprise.
• Conduct direct support of A/V conference rooms including remote assistance with operation and maintenance of the AV equipment for classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums.
• Provide support distribution and delivery of Internet Protocol (IP) Television (TV) and video-on-demand (VoD) platforms and services to end users.
• Coordinate backup and restore and capacity planning of VoD content.
• Ensure appropriate network connectivity for VoD service platforms.
• Recommend VoD solutions that enable cost reductions, cybersecurity enhancements, improved performance, and increased use of standard configurations.
Qualifications: 1. BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience. 2. IAT III
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. 4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders. 5.
