We are currently seeking a Senior BFM Project Manager to join our team supporting the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Washington, D.C. What you'll do: The Senior BFM Project Manager will lead a team providing project BFM support to a Navy shipbuilding program office. This is future work. Responsibilities: * Serve as the project manager for the team providing business financial management (BFM), cost estimating, program management and administration support to a Navy shipbuilding program office * Oversee the delivery of timely, high quality, and accurate deliverables
* Assist the program office in the acquisition, financial health/status management, production, and delivery of cognizant programs
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements, technical analyses, and BFM support associated with the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding program
* Ensure team members are properly trained and knowledgeable in their area of responsibilities and that team members have access to relevant databases and systems
* Ensure coordination between top level stakeholders and budget/platform owners
* Ensure consistent messaging and logical processes are created and followed across many platforms, each with their own priorities
* Build and maintain essential relationships with direct clients and supporting commands
* Evaluate program deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
* Lead and attend meetings and program reviews to deliver critical information to senior Navy leadership
* Attend meetings and provide client support onsite/in person when required Qualifications: * At least 15 years of experience in program management for ACAT 1 Navy shipbuilding programs * Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline from an institution accredited in the United States
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
* Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to identify and track requirements
* Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral channels
* Experience with ship modernization, sustainment, and maintenance
* Understanding of Navy program acquisition, logistics, planning yards, and ship technical data
* Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
* Active DOD SECRET security clearance
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
* Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
* Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
