Duties and responsibilities:

Assist the food services staff in the development and use of departmental procedures governing food service activities, equipment, supplies etc.
Review and develop a plan of correction for any food service deficiencies noted during state/federal survey and provide written copy of such plan to the Administrator for approval
Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the Food Services Department
Review dietary requirements and/or restrictions of admitted patients in accordance with attending physician's diet plans
Assist the Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the food services portion of the resident's discharge plan
Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents and planning regular and specialized diets as prescribed by attending physician

NOTE: Primary Series of the Covid Vaccine required, or medical exemption
Bachelor’s degree required.
Active current registered Dietitian license in RI required.
2 years of clinical experience preferred.
Expertise in clinical nutrition, preferably geriatric rehab care practices in a skilled nursing setting.
Possess knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal regulatory statues and guidelines pertaining to healthcare in the skilled nursing setting.
